Currently have: An itchy eye

Hi all.
Haha - I used this pic b/c it was the first one that came up in google under "itchy eye" hahah...I think it's more a pose than an eye irritation...what the????
So - I decided AGAINST full-time school and I am going to spend the year taking workshops and courses on things that I want to do.....lots of photography workshops & guitar lessons and djembe lessons too! I'm really excited.

I had my first co-writing session at the studio yesterday. I'm writing with this guy named Brian James. He is super cool. His songwriting fits the style that I love, and I think it's going to work out well. He was wearing the craziest shirt yesterday. It had a bunch of fuzzy teddy bears like...jumping, or dancing around a rainbow or something.....I can't quite remember exactly....it was definetly bears though....
I have a studio space for this next year too!!!! I'm sharing with my friend/fellow photography/ex-boss Charles Shilliday! He will be someone I can learn a lot from! I am in the Exchange district. I'm SOOOO excited about it. Now I just have to find a use for it! Haha. No - I REALLY need a place to meet with potential clients where my three year old isn't trying to make small talk with them, and that if I need to get some work done, where I can actually do that. I'm really excited. It will open a lot of doors when it comes to studio shooting as well. And I can't imagine a better person to share with. Haha - read further down to get the low-down on my friend Charles if you are interested. I blogged about him a while ago.
Man - my eye is itchy. It sucks.
My life is INCREDIBLY busy lately. I get to lead worship with Jacob Moon this weekend and apparently we have to do 10 or so songs on saturday night, and we have only saturday afternoon to put it all together, then the following friday I am backing a friend of mine (Sharon Borges) at the Grace Cafe (Come out if you are interested - the sets are at 9, 10 & 11 pm) anyhow - I'll be singing harmonies and playing djembe for her and I have to learn about 15 songs or so by next friday for it. Plus my deadline for my songwriting (this part of it) is next friday, so I have two more sessions with Brian to see what we can come up with.
It's great though - but I really haven't been able to just listen to music for fun lately. It's all for work. I'm excited though, and the full-time job ends soon, so that's good.
Hey - want to hear something cool??? I had my FIRST real granola bar today! I really liked it. They always use peanuts and nuts in those things, and apparently Quaker decided to come out with a peanut free line. HORRAY for QUAKER!!! And horray that I can bring a granola bar in my lunch for the first time of my life!!
Man - I miss family lately. I'd love to see Brent's family and the new baby....also Cam and Bethany I really miss. I hate that we are in that point in our lives when we are so seperate from our family (distance and relationship) I never wanted to be this way.
I guess it's just one of those things though....cest la vie.
Well, my eye is still itchy and I'm going to go have a shower to clean it out.
See Y'all.....
K

Hey Kerri, be sure not to run yourself into the ground with all of the opportunities and stuff - although, everything you just wrote about sounds super-exciting, so good luck with it all anyways!

If Grace Cafe is the same as it was four years ago, apparently you guys will get to split $30.00 and have a free drink. Hopefully they have changed THAT...I sang there once with a friend and found it so weird to see people hovering ver their white dinner plates while chewing and watching whoever is singing with wide eyes. Something about that cracked me up. Watch for it this weekend!

Thanks for Djembe-ing with us on Wednesday, it was totally fun.
